The stackable, screw-on counterweight for the QuickPole
The QuickPole Counterweight attaches directly to the rear end of any QuickPole boom. Simply remove the rubber bumper and screw it onto the built-in thread – no tools required.
Less strain through lever physics
It sounds counterintuitive adding weight to reduce effort - but that's exactly what a counterweight does. Thanks to lever physics, placing weight at the rear of the pole balances out the windshield and transmitter at the other end, significantly reducing the load on your arms and shoulders during long takes.
The counterweight is available in two versions:
- Counterweight for QuickPole Series 5 – 476 g
- Counterweight for QuickPole Slim – 453 g
Stack it your way
Each counterweight adds just under a pound of weight and features a threaded connection on both ends, so you can stack multiple weights to fit your setup.
Integrated 3/8" thread
An integrated 3/8" thread on the counterweight opens up a second use case entirely: mount your boom pole on any standard stand and turn it into a slim, elegant plant mic setup.

Good to know
The counterweight has a diameter of 35 mm, which is wider than the QuickPole Slim's 30 mm tube. As a result, the original rubber end cap of the QuickPole Slim will no longer fit once the counterweight is attached. The bundle A81076 (including the 35 mm rubber bumper) or the separately available 35 mm rubber bumper (A02820) are suitable replacements.
For users stacking multiple counterweights on a QuickPole Slim: the second counterweight must be the QuickPole Series 5 version, as the outer thread of the first counterweight matches the QP5 standard. See the Stacking Advice in the product pictures
