I’d like to thank Nathan and the team at Wendy’s Broadcadst for all their help. They have been supplying me with custom cables, made to the highest standard over many year. The low profile connectors are hard to find, yet they normally ship the finished leads the day after ordering, often to studios or locations where I am filming and I’ve never had to ask for any adjustments or corrections; They are right first time, despite my requiring some unusual bespoke wiring. I’ve also benefited from real world advice about products and fault finding. Wendy’s Broadcast have made location sound far less stressful.

MKH 8060
Whether it's a feature film, a documentary, an outdoor shoot or a studio production, the MKH 8060 will provide high quality sound to match your great pictures. Handily compact it shows its strengths as a professional shotgun microphone: The MKH 8060 delivers an absolute natural sound and outstanding off-axis linearity, attenuating sound coming from the side without coloration. Like all mics of the 8000-family it can be easily combined with the MZD 8000 digital module, turning it into a full-fledged digital microphone.

RYCOTE CYCLONE SMALL (XLR)
The Cyclone features a durable, lightweight design, category leading wind and shock isolation performance, with the same overall mass yet lighter in weight than modular windshield designs. All Cyclone (XLR) baskets are fitted with a low profile XLR at the microphone end.
RYCOTE CYCLONE SMALL (MZL)
You can unscrew the barrel from the MKH 8060 and connect it to the basket using the MZL connection provided.
Suspension
The Cyclone introduces a unique “multi-suspension” design that provides complete isolation against handling noise and cable-borne noises, and windshield basket self-noise. In addition to the outstanding shock protection provided by the patented Rycote Lyre suspension webs, shock performance is further enhanced by the new Rycote Floating-Basket Suspension with Lyre® Technology (patent pending). This basket suspension provides a unique isolation barrier between the windshield basket and suspension that inhibits noise and vibration induced by the windshield itself from being mechanically transmitted to the primary suspension.
Windshield
The two-piece Z-Locking design magnetically affixes the basket around the microphone for instant and secure attachment to or detachment from the suspension. Increased transparency is achieved due to the cone-like shape, which vastly reduces reflective parallel surfaces and “room effect”. With the same overall mass, the unique, design shifts the overall bulk to the basket front for superior wind-noise reduction exceeding modular-style windshield / windjammer combined performance.
In addition to the shape and structure of the Cyclone, 3D-Tex® covers the windshield exterior. This durable material combines excellent acoustic transparency with superb attenuation of wind noise.
